Hey there,

We’re excited to announce ClearPoint Next version 4.7! This release focuses on deeper polish, layout consistency, and smoother workflows across AI tools, Gantt charts, reporting, and workspace customization.

Here’s what’s new:

✨ Newly Available in CP Next

🧠 AI Gets Smarter, Faster, and More Seamless

AI in CP Next now includes:

  • A new AI Top Nav: Access AI anytime from the top navigation bar—an always-on assistant that’s ready to help you brainstorm, analyze, plan, or take action across any page.
  • Cleaner AI-generated content: You’ll no longer see backend IDs like scorecardId or elementId. Just clean, user-friendly labels.
  • Streamlined element creation: When you create scorecards or elements through AI, it now creates them properly—no more misrouted links or beta design screen redirects.
  • Improved Recommendations-to-Actions flow: Turn AI-generated recommendations into actionable items more cleanly—status, type, and ownership are correctly handled.

🗃️ Reporting Workflow Enhancements

Reporting workflows now:

  • Display sent status and scheduled send date for each scheduled email
  • Include element type icons in task lists for easier identification
  • Show task completion more cleanly in the chart (labels won’t overlap anymore)
  • Properly filter and restore lists when using the user filter
  • Let you assign an owner automatically, and sync owner updates between CP Current and CP Next
  • Display sent status more meaningfully (“Sent (3 of 3)” or recipient count)

📈 Gantt Chart: Now Project-Ready

Big strides in Gantt functionality:

  • Inline editing and drag-and-drop are now supported!
  • Dependencies between milestones now update correctly in detail pages and Gantt reports
  • Owners now display properly in columns
  • “Show Baselines” no longer returns invalid errors
  • Status icons now display by default
  • Options persist across refreshes (or can be set as system defaults)
  • Improved constraints, auto-scheduling, baseline behavior, and date controls

Note: You’ll need to reach out to your Account Manager or Support to enable the “Advanced Project Management” features and access baseline and dependency tracking in full.

📄 HTML & Briefing Books

Briefing Books and HTML exports now:

  • Include period selectors and recipient options when generating a report
  • Display contents correctly across the Scorecards and Contents tabs
  • Retain formatting and linked element selections reliably after saving
  • Display cleaner layouts (spacing, headers, and footers improved)
  • Avoid blank pages during export

🔧 Enhancements and Fixes Across the Platform

🧾 Manage Pages & Detail Page Polish

  • No more duplicate view names—Manage Pages will now prevent it
  • Custom names (e.g., renaming Risks to something else) now display correctly in the left nav and Manage Pages
  • Completed Date and Attachments pods behave properly across all layouts
  • “Favorites” now correctly reflect per-element, not per-element-type
  • Views now support properly assigning sort order on import
  • Filter toggles now reset correctly when disabled and removed
  • Series View now allows period columns to be added or removed again
  • Pod styling now editable in Workspaces too
  • Layout editing terminology is now standardized—say hello to “Customize Layout” mode across all layout types

📊 Reports

  • Scorecard duplication now works as intended—no more disappearing copies
  • Upload Edits modal’s close (“×”) button works again
  • You can now update measure statuses on new measures as expected
  • Objective Score now displays again
  • Grid reports now respect layout settings, like Category grouping and full-width columns
  • Top edit icon now behaves consistently across Summary and Detail pages

📊 Charts & Strategy Maps

  • Gauge charts now default to “Current Period” like in Classic
  • Charts now display as expected across layouts and detail pages
  • Strategy Map defaults now correctly reflect the active scorecard
  • Status indicators on diagrams now update with period changes

📁 Platform Stability

  • Scorecards deleted during provisioning no longer retain ghost homepages
  • Accounts like Federal Group Way now load as expected with redirect logic corrected
  • Gantt charts no longer throw baseline errors due to missing dates
  • Edit behavior is now more predictable across the board (e.g., save button availability, default labels)
