🚀 ClearPoint Next 16.5.45 Release Highlights!

Hey there,

We’re excited to announce ClearPoint Next version 16.5.45! This release sets the stage for better admin control, smarter AI, and fewer visual glitches in day-to-day workflows.

Here’s what’s new:


🔧 Enhancements and Fixes Across the Platform

🧠 AI & Automation Fixes

  • ClearPoint AI Playbooks now launch directly from prompts like “Create a scorecard.”
  • Scorecard summaries and exception reports generated by AI now produce more useful outputs.
  • Playbook AI retains all generated objectives and creates initiatives for each section.
  • New chat transcripts now appear in the history sidebar and chat history page without a refresh.
  • Strategic Objective summaries now load correctly via the AI Assistant.
  • The AI Assistant button now shows correct placement and label across pages.
  • AI-generated analysis now accurately references the element it’s analyzing.
  • Detail page AI, Chart AI, and Recommendations AI are being updated to include helpful starter prompt buttons.
  • External content generated via SWOT/Research now includes source citations (where available).
  • “Mark Complete?” confirmation prompts have been added back to workflow task interactions in workspaces and My Updates.
  • AI modal in Labs no longer reloads the page instead of opening properly.

📝 Revision History

  • Revision History now properly reverts changes to Analysis and Recommendation pods.
  • Reviewing tag history no longer causes crashes.
  • System-generated logs now leave the User field blank (not “0”).
  • Newly saved changes appear immediately—no refresh required.

📋 Manage Pages & Elements

  • Clicking an element name in Series View now takes you to the correct detail page.
  • “Undefined” no longer appears in the Reporting Frequency column.
  • Boolean fields and picklists display the correct values in Series View.
  • Custom toggle fields now visually reflect their saved state in view mode.
  • The “Clear Layout” button only appears in layout edit mode and is now repositioned safely.
  • Page Breaks added to a layout now save and persist correctly.
  • Boolean field pods now display aligned text and toggles.
  • Tags, HTML w/ Data fields, and copy-forward now behave more reliably in detail pages.
  • Add Multiple modals no longer retain previous data after saving.
  • Long text fields in reports and exports now wrap correctly.

🗃️ Reports & Exports

  • Summary Grid Report series status colors now display correctly with cell background colors.
  • Chart previews now refresh when editing chart configuration.
  • Data Grid PDF exports no longer display “View Report” buttons.
  • Summary reports now allow white text editing in shaded cells.
  • Series View exports now include all selected periods.
  • Reports with multiple series can now use background colors more effectively.
  • Report exports reflect correct element sorting and selection.

👤 Manage Users & Workflows

  • User creation now only requires First Name, Last Name, and Email fields.
  • “Invalid Email” errors no longer appear for users without separate notification emails.
  • The “Show Deleted” toggle has been removed from the Manage Users page.
  • Editing workflows multiple times no longer triggers a 404 error.
  • Workflow modals now reset between uses without persisting prior entries.
  • Workflow list shows separate tags for “Inactive” and “Disabled” workflows.
  • Workflow completion sliders now calculate per workflow—not across all workflows.
  • “Rows” dropdowns across app tables are being renamed or moved for clarity.
  • Admins can now see all workflows by default, including Inactive and Disabled ones.
  • “Send Reminder” option is restored in the Reminder menus.

🧰 System Setup & Settings

  • AI Preferences are moving from user profiles to System Setup (admin-only).
  • Admins can now configure AI tone, length, and formatting globally across the organization.
  • Element Names now includes Diagrams, which can be renamed or hidden.
  • Custom fields, charts, and status indicators now show confirmation toasts when saved.
  • Settings search now finds sub-sections like Account Colors and Fiscal Years.
  • System Setup Success Portal now displays at full width.
  • New validations are in place for Fiscal Years, Reporting Frequencies, and Schedules.
  • Reporting Frequency dropdowns now show default assignments clearly.
  • Workflow status labels and progress charts now show accurate state and timelines.

🛎️ Alerts and Mentions UI Improvements

  • Alerts now open to the “Unread” tab by default.
  • You can mark alerts as read or unread individually.
  • Mentions now use a simplified toggle instead of “Mark Read/Unread” buttons.
  • Read and unread items are now visually distinct.
