Hey there,

We’re excited to announce ClearPoint Next version 16.5.46! This release brings massive strides in admin control, AI-powered workflows, layout customization, and user management—along with fixes for improved stability across the platform.

Here’s what’s new:

✨ Newly Available in CP Next

🧠 ClearPoint AI Gets Even Smarter

ClearPoint AI has evolved into a full strategy assistant with new guided workflows and connected tools:

  • AI Playbooks: Launch pre-structured conversations for common strategic needs—like SWOT analyses, risk assessments, or account rollovers—from the new AI Assistants > Playbooks section in the left navigation.
  • Knowledge Base Connections: Upload documents or connect SharePoint/Google Drive folders to give ClearPoint AI access to your own content. Your AI assistant can now tailor responses based on real internal materials.
  • AI Memories: Your AI now remembers details like your role, goals, and preferences to offer smarter responses. Admins can manage what the AI remembers per user.
  • MCP Integrations: Our new Model Context Protocol (MCP) apps let AI take action for you—like scheduling a follow-up meeting with your team after a risk assessment is generated.
  • AI Settings Panel: Admins can now control tone (e.g., friendly vs. professional), response length, and recommendation type (e.g., supportive vs. challenging). You can also define additional guidelines for how AI responds in your organization.

🛠️ System Setup: Bulk Actions & Import/Export Upgrades

We’ve expanded setup tools for efficient account management:

  • Custom Fields, Users, and Reporting Periods: You can now import and export these setup items in bulk for easier account configuration.
  • Scorecard Customization & Hierarchy: Parent scorecards can now be assigned during scorecard creation and re-ordered more reliably across setup tabs.
  • Element Field Customizations: Admins can preview and manage custom field styling, sort scorecard lists, and configure global field labels that now reflect across the app.
  • AI Settings Tab: A dedicated section in System Setup now allows admins to define how AI behaves across their organization.

🔧 Enhancements and Fixes Across the Platform

đź“‹ Reports, Exports, and Data Views

  • Discussion threads now appear in summary report columns (read-only) for better at-a-glance collaboration.
  • Users can now upload attachments inline to summary reports.
  • Series Data View now supports filters for Series-level fields (e.g., Name, Type, Tags, Calculation).
  • Column width, alignment, layout settings, and export visuals (e.g., image scaling, wrapping, chart colors) now behave consistently across PDF and Excel exports.
  • Grid and summary reports correctly reflect active scorecards only, and layout updates persist as expected.

🧠 AI & Automation Enhancements

  • AI-generated evaluations now behave more predictably with comparison series.
  • AI Assistant routing improves for common commands like "create a scorecard"—launching the appropriate AI Playbook.
  • Knowledge base documents can now be removed, not just added.
  • Notifications and reminders now load faster, render UI fields correctly, and support bulk actions and ownership mapping.
  • Chart previews now refresh immediately after config changes, and series colors apply correctly.

đź“… Reporting Periods, Layouts & Templates

  • New periods no longer auto-assign to all reporting frequencies.
  • Users can now create multiple reporting periods at once.
  • Custom layouts now apply correctly to scorecard pages across the account.
  • Template access settings and scorecard reports have regained support for hiding titles, adjusting sharing, and using the template library.

🧰 Layouts, Diagrams, and Detail Page Fixes

  • Pod header visibility, image alignment, card border toggles, and color application all now behave consistently in layout edit mode.
  • Detail pages respect layout settings, status indicators now display consistently, and default export settings include missing scorecard names.
  • Diagrams can now be opened from the Manage Diagrams page again.

👤 User Permissions, Roles, and Navigation

  • Updaters can now reliably update data tables, create reports, and navigate workflows without logout errors.
  • Admins editing their own profiles can now access the Scorecards & Homepage tab.
  • My Favorites now handles 404s and redirects properly when the original page is unavailable.
  • Permissions for features like deleting Briefing Books, editing chart settings, or managing templates have been corrected per user role.

🧠 QBR Upgrades and Admin Tools

  • QBRs can now be generated by selecting the specific quarter/year.
  • Snapshots now open in the environment where they were created (Classic or Next) to preserve their formatting.
  • Gantt timelines offer improved alignment, milestone visibility, and timeline scaling for better reporting and exporting.
  • Explorer View now supports objective-category linkages via drag-and-drop.
