🚀 ClearPoint Next 16.5.49 Release Highlights!

We’re excited to announce ClearPoint Next version 16.5.49! This release includes new publishing capabilities, improved HTML editing, website embedding in layout cards, and continued stability improvements across reports, diagrams, workflows, and admin tools.

Here’s what’s new:

✨ Newly Available in CP Next

🌐 Embed External Websites via Custom Fields

You can now embed external websites directly into ClearPoint Next using the External Link custom field.

What’s new:

• External Link fields now include an Embed option
• Embedded links render inside an iframe sized to the card
• Ideal for dashboards, reporting tools, intranet pages, or partner systems

To support secure embedding, we’ve also modernized how Content Security Policy (CSP) settings are managed:

• CSP allow-list now lives in Settings > Security
• Default domains from ClearPoint Classic are prefilled
• Admins can add approved domains to control what can be embedded

This gives organizations more flexibility while maintaining strong security controls.

📰 Reporting & Publishing Enhancements

• Briefing Books can now be used as cover pages for HTML reports
• Page breaks render correctly in exports and published outputs
• Scheduled reports now reliably send the correct report data

• Publishing workflows render more predictably
• Summary and grid reports have improved visual stability

🧩 Diagrams and Visual Stability

• Copy/paste behavior in diagrams is more reliable
• Deleting shapes and objects works consistently
• Switching between diagrams no longer causes edit-mode glitches

✅ Workflows, Notifications, and Reminders

• Notification search returns accurate results
• Reminder scheduling and editing is more stable
• Workflow editing experiences have fewer interruption states

• Settings pages save and reload more reliably
• Field behavior is more consistent across edit drawers and reports
