Hey there,

We're excited to announce ClearPoint Next version 16.5.50! This release delivers a meaningful set of reliability and usability improvements across reports, exports, elements, AI, diagrams, and more β€” all aimed at making your day-to-day workflows smoother and more predictable.

Here's what's new:

✨ Newly Available in CP Next

🧩 Reusable Cards for Layouts

You can now add customizable and reusable cards β€” including chart sparklines, text, embedded links, images, and more β€” directly to your Detail Pages and Scorecard Report layouts. Configure them for a more flexible and visually dynamic strategy presentation.

πŸ‘‹ Send Welcome Emails from Next

Admins can now send welcome emails to new users directly from the Manage Users page in ClearPoint Next.

πŸ—‚οΈ Copy Forward Scorecards from

Manage Scorecards You can now copy forward scorecard fields directly from the Manage Scorecards page β€” a feature that was previously only available in Classic.

πŸ”§ Enhancements and Fixes Across the Platform

Reports & Exports

  • Summary reports now display series data and series names correctly across all reporting periods.
  • New grid reports automatically include the element name column and current scorecard scope as a starting point.
  • Column reordering in report layouts now saves reliably, including when new columns are added alongside other edits.
  • The objective column in Measure and Initiative grid reports now supports the full-width option when grouped appropriately.
  • Scorecard columns in reports now display the name only, without a stray status indicator.
  • Reference reports now correctly detect when a referenced report has been deleted and handle it gracefully.
  • Measure grid reports with linked measures from other scorecards now display more cleanly when grouped.
  • PDF exports now render images correctly instead of showing a broken image icon.
  • Exports from Manage pages that include custom fields now complete successfully.
  • HTML exports now generate and open links correctly for new exports created in Next.
  • Briefing book exports now render pages in the correct order, without overlapping transitions or missing Gantt chart content.

Manage Pages & Elements

  • Element sort order on Manage pages now holds correctly when switching into inline edit mode.
  • Linked milestones now remain visible in the Linked Elements pod when inline editing is active.
  • Duplicating an element and assigning it to a new home scorecard now correctly places the duplicate in the selected scorecard.
  • Linking multiple initiatives to an objective from the Objective Explorer now adds them cumulatively rather than replacing previous links.
  • The Quick Find search on Manage pages now filters results more reliably.
  • Adding new milestones via the Manage Milestones page now works correctly, including the "Save and Edit" flow.
  • The Manage Pages Series Data view now reflects newly created or deleted series immediately, without requiring a page refresh.

Scorecards & Edit Drawer

  • Opening the edit drawer on a Scorecard Summary report no longer interrupts the report display or causes an infinite loading state.
  • Scorecard lists now appear in a consistent, predictable order across the application.
  • Image alignment settings in fields now save and persist correctly after saving.

Fields & Layouts

  • Field labels in the layout editing drawer now display proper, readable names instead of internal code references.
  • Adding a Kanban field to a scorecard detail report layout now works without errors.
  • Description fields on Manage pages now display consistently with what appears in Excel exports.

System Setup & Admin

  • The Copy Forward destination period field now displays correctly even when users are on the last available reporting period.
  • Custom element names now apply consistently across all areas of System Setup, including the Series & Charts section.

Navigation

  • Breadcrumb navigation now routes correctly across Manage Reports, Manage Elements, and Scorecard pages.

AI & Automation

  • AI agents now communicate clearly when a requested action is outside their capabilities, rather than indicating success when nothing occurred.
  • Fields updated by AI (such as scorecard analysis) now reflect the new content immediately without requiring a manual refresh or cache clear.
  • AI element linking actions in playbooks now complete successfully and save as expected.
  • Playbooks now show correct "coming soon" labels for features that are not yet available, reducing confusion for users exploring upcoming capabilities.
  • Running a playbook multiple times in a session now reflects the most current data each time, rather than pulling from a stale cache.

Diagrams

  • Creating or deleting a diagram now updates the Manage page and left navigation panel immediately, with a confirmation toast on save.

Charts

  • Custom chart creation from System Settings now works without an error modal.
