๐ ClearPoint 16.5.70 Release Highlights!
Hey there,
We're excited to announce ClearPoint version 16.5.70! This release adds new AI helpers, a default Gantt timescale, and new sign-in controls for admins, along with improvements to period locking, report filters, exports, and charts.
Here's what's new:
โจ New in ClearPoint Next
๐ค New AI helpers Evaluations AI now appears in the objective evaluations pop-up, ClearPoint AI can help you edit a custom chartโs JSON, you can turn data labels on or off for each chart series right from the ClearPoint AI chat, a new address lookup helps place locations on GeoJSON maps, and admins get a plain-language AI summary on the Organization Usage page (Settings โบ Usage). AI features require AI to be enabled for your account.
๐ Default Gantt timescale Admins can now set a default periodicity in System Setup so Gantt charts and their exports open in Quarters or Years.
๐ Require SSO A new account-level Require SSO setting in Login Security lets admins require single sign-on for every user (Allow IDP Discovery must be turned on first), and System Settings now shows your SSO status with a link to your SSO portal.
๐ Control the Switch to Classic option A new account-level setting lets admins turn off โSwitch to Classicโ from within ClearPoint Next.
๐ See every Data Loader and Zapier connection Admins can now see the Data Loader and Zapier connections set up by every user in the account.
๐ Copy-forward schedule coverage Copy-forward schedules now show which scorecards each schedule covers.
๐ MCP connector improvements The ClearPoint Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector can now work with schedules, and summary reports it builds keep their filters, element lists, and cloned layouts.
๐ง Enhancements and Fixes Across the Platform
๐ Period locking Saving into a locked period now shows a clear โperiod is lockedโ warning, auto-locked periods show a lock in the period selector, the Locked Period toggle reflects auto-locking and shows how many scorecards are locked, and Set All and Clear All on the Auto Period Locking tab no longer apply an unexpected date to every scorecard.
๐ Reports, filters, and Quick Find Quick Find now searches every row of a long report, not just the rows on screen; OR owner filters include strategies whose action items match; picklist filters work with values that contain apostrophes and with Includes and Excludes; custom column labels show exactly as typed; milestones appear in order; and empty reports wait for data to load before saying there are no results.
๐ Exports Dashboard PDF exports respect the Dashboard Size setting, gauge charts fit their cards in PDF exports, chart image and PDF exports use a light background and are generated within ClearPoint, initiative report Excel exports show checked Yes/No fields as Yes, Excel exports of large reports include every rowโs values, Manage grid exports keep your saved viewโs sort, failed background exports appear in Documents โบ Exports, and the WordPress Shortcodes export skips hidden fields and includes the fields a dashboard build needs.
๐ Charts and Gantts Custom chart heights are honored on dashboard and summary cards, data labels overlap less, printed summary Gantt rows size correctly, chart names and titles display consistently, and the Gantt Owner column uses your renamed owner field.
โ๏ธ Fields and editing HTML with Data fields keep their formatting on first save, a renamed Owner field carries through detail cards, edit drawers, and the column picker, Department Initiative Description HTML fields save, Copy Forward in the scorecard Edit Element drawer works again, and the currency dropdown shows currency names.
๐๏ธ Milestones, evaluations, and periods After copying milestones forward, every milestone updates its shading and status color right away, series evaluations calculate correctly when the No Information band is on without a comparison, Calculated Percent Complete keeps its decimals, and archiving a period now sets it inactive.
โ๏ธ Emails, schedules, and notifications Welcome and other ClearPoint emails in Next accounts now link to ClearPoint Next, links to specific pages respect SSO, the โDo not send e-mail alertsโ setting now saves, changing a userโs type or deactivating them now warns you and moves their schedules to an active Administrator, and the schedule drawer closes after a recurrence change.
๐งญ Sign-in, access, and navigation Switching from Classic to Next keeps SSO users signed in, users without access to an element can no longer complete its workflow task in My Updates, closing a drawer opened from My Comments, My Favorites, or My Notifications returns you there, and mentions read as @Name.
๐ค Integrations and AI Bulk updates through the connector keep each seriesโ type and evaluation settings, and document extraction maps series data types correctly.
๐๏ธ Classic Application Maintenance
The following fixes are included for ClearPoint Classic users:
๐ Period locking Locked Period settings now show how many scorecards Auto Period Locking has locked, and the toggle reflects periods it locked.
